I read half of Animal Farm at the library on campus today waiting for class, so I didn't want to buy it or sit around borders reading it so I took a shot at finding it online and here it was... but wait, there's more. I noticed that the site had a general directory of sorts so at the bottom of the Animal Farm text I clicked back and

THIS IS WHAT I FOUND!!!!

It's a WHOLE MESS of books as etexts. So if we want to start a reading club, we got it all for free here!!

BTW, if the book you are looking for is not there, then go to google and type the [name of the book] + full text. You may be able to find it. Classics more so than newer texts.

Also, there are cliffsnotes types of websites on line if you're perplexed about certain shakespeare symbolization, etc. Aiight. PROSEMONKEY.COM!

Recruiting writers

Junior's working on a website. Paul said he was gonna put one up soon. I've gone and started mine already.

http://www.prosemonkey.com
I haven't gotten far yet - been putting in a lot of work on the prototypes for the Sports page.

So anyone wanna dedicate at least 1 column per week for the sports or the entertainment pages? Let me know. It'll be a fun thing, but I'm gonna push for clearly written and engaging articles whether the content is serious or not.

If you want to do a personal journal/blog, I can host it too (and Paul will be able to host it when he starts his)

Unfounded occupation vs murderous insurgency?

from dictionary.com:
insurgency

n : an organized rebellion aimed at overthrowing a constituted government through the use of subversion and armed conflict [syn: insurgence]

So, two days after the largest act of violence in Iraq resulted in the highest death toll, the media refers to it as the deadliest attack in the two year "insurgency". That's an insurgency that wouldn't exist if there wasn't an illegal, unethical occupation. But i guess "occupation" isn't a word we can describe the Iraq thing as in our democratic country.
